"Home" for the holidays

Ray and I headed to Charlotte, NC to visit my mom for Christmas.
It was so good to see my mommy! Her husband was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus about six months ago and has been recovering, so this trip was extra special.

Here are some pictures:

Making cookies and gingerbread houses with mom. This is a Christmas tradition we used to do when I was a kid.

Ray Christmas morning sporting some new freezer mugs.

Mom's hubby. Ray found this "reindeer pooper" toy at a store and thought it was hilarious. He had to get it for him!

Me and mom.

Me and mom heading to the airport soon. The trip is over, but was very fun!
